This is a sample page. It differs from a blog post because it remains in one place and appears in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an “About” page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:

Hey there! I’m a bike courier by day and a budding actor in the evenings, and this is my site. I live in Los Angeles, have a cute dog named Jack, and I love piña coladas. (And getting caught in the rain.)

…or something like this:

The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971 and has been supplying high-quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Based in Gotham City, XYZ employs more than 2,000 people and does all kinds of fantastic things for the Gotham community.
