What role does ADR play in relation to electric equipment?
Hazardous substances must be transported in accordance with the rules and requirements of the ADR (Accord relatif au transport international de marchandises dangereuses par route). The ADR is the pan-European agreement governing the transport of dangerous goods by road. The ADR is increasingly becoming a global agreement.
The ADR is established under the auspices of the United Nations. The ADR includes requirements regarding, among other things:
- Criteria for the hazard classification of dangerous goods
- Terms of Transport
- Requirements for packaging and tanks
- shipping procedures, including labeling and documentation
There is no simple, straightforward answer to the question of what role ADR plays in relation to electric equipment. At Fedecom , we see all kinds of developments that are directly or indirectly related to the use of electric equipment (just think for a moment about what was presented at ATH/GTH).
