New Fedecom training course: prevention officer

Fedecom , in collaboration with CertificerenOnline, has developed the “Safety Officer” training course specifically for employees of Fedecom member companies. A safety officer is responsible within an organization for providing support in the areas of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE).

What does a prevention officer do?

As a prevention officer, you play a central role in internal safety policy. This requires broad knowledge: of relevant laws and regulations, but also of your own organization. Understanding the company structure, culture, processes and working conditions is essential for recognizing risks and drawing up and implementing an effective HSE policy.

For whom is the training intended?

The training is intended for anyone who wants to work as a prevention officer within his or her organization, regardless of experience. The training also offers practical tools for employees with a management role or who are involved in health and safety within the company.

What will you learn during the training?

Training topics covered include:

• Legislation and regulations
• The role of the prevention officer
• Working with a HSE management system (FedecomFort)
• Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RI&E)
• Workplace inspections
• Toolbox meetings and internal safety meetings.
• The Dutch Labour Inspectorate

The training takes one day and is practice-oriented: the knowledge gained is immediately applicable. Training materials are included and participants receive a diploma upon completion.

When can I sign up?

Training is currently under development. It is expected to be available in March. As soon as the training is ready, members will be informed by e-mail. At that time, the registration link will also be shared.
