New application period SLIM grant opens April 7, 2026

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will soon be able to reapply for the SLIM grant for activities focused on learning and development. The new application period opens on April 7, 2026.

The program supports companies in strengthening learning and development in the workplace. The SLIM program is aimed at stimulating the growth and development of employees, so they can better respond to changes in the labor market. This helps companies retain employees more effectively and enables employees to further develop their careers.

What can the grant be used for?

The SLIM program is intended for three types of activities. Companies can apply for grants for:

• developing a training or development plan;
• providing career or development advice to employees;
• the development or implementation of new learning methods, such as e-learning, a learning portal, internal company training programs, or a methodology for development discussions.

The program is intended for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with up to 250 employees and an annual turnover of up to 50 million euros.
