New application forms for vehicle categories T, C, R, S, U, and O effective January 1, 2025
Effective January 1, 2025, the application forms for various agricultural and agrotechnical vehicle categories will be updated. These changes apply to categories T, C, R, S, U, and O. The updated forms will be available for download starting on that date through the usual channels, including the RDW website.
What exactly is changing?
The changes are partly intended to improve consistency across different vehicle categories. For example, on all forms, the method for determining the classification criterion (DET) has been aligned with the procedure already used for the N category. This ensures a standardized approach to the submission and assessment of applications.
Furthermore, specific changes have been implemented for categories R, S, and U. These include the following changes:
- Tire information: It is now mandatory to provide details such as tire size, load index, and speed rating. This helps ensure a more accurate technical assessment of the vehicles.
- Contact information: The application form now also requires the applicant to provide an email address and phone number. This facilitates communication between the RDW and the applicant.
Important to Know
Use of the new forms will be mandatory starting January 1, 2025. Applications submitted after this date using outdated forms will not be processed. This means that applicants—such as manufacturers, importers, and vehicle owners—must switch to the new versions in a timely manner.
