Annual Members’ Meeting on Livestock Farming Technology

On September 25, the annual members’ meeting of the Livestock Farming Technology division took place at the Beleefboerderij in Schalkwijk, which is currently under construction.

Fedecom and ABN Amro engaged members in discussions about future visions, focusing on the question of what the relevant developments in livestock farming will be over the next 2–4 years and what impact this will have on dealers and manufacturers. It’s no secret that the livestock farming sector is subject to constant change. Consolidation is increasing, and businesses are growing larger and more professional. There is still room for innovation and diversification (such as nature conservation).

Consequently, there was a lively discussion about the strategies dealers and manufacturers can pursue. Should your company grow, collaborate more, specialize, or diversify? Fedecom and ABN Amro are happy to provide the right guidance for these decisions.

Lely also gave an inspiring presentation on regenerative agriculture, focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and circular business practices. This also sparked a valuable discussion about its applicability in the Netherlands.
