Invitation to a seminar on opportunities in French agricultural robotics
The Dutch Embassy in France, in collaboration with RVO, commissioned a French AgTech specialist to prepare a report on the robotics–AgTech sector in France. This report will be presented this coming Wednesday, May 29, in Lelystad at the FieldLab/Farm of the Future at Wageningen University & Research. It provides information on the market potential for Dutch agricultural robotics companies in France. Various market segments were examined, such as fruit cultivation, potatoes, asparagus, vegetables, root crops and onion cultivation, oilseeds, and vineyards.
The report also provides insight into national and regional resources aimed at stimulating this sector.
Program for the May 29 Meeting
From 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., we will host a program where we will exchange ideas with entrepreneurs, researchers, and interested parties from the Dutch agricultural robotics and AgTech sectors about the opportunities and ambitions for France. Erik Pekkeriet from Wageningen University & Research (WUR) will discuss recent developments in the AgTech sector.
The program also includes a guided tour of Wageningen University Research’s Fieldlab/Farm of the Future. This is a 25-hectare site in Lelystad where innovations in advanced stages of development are tested and demonstrated on a semi-practical scale.
Erik Pekkeriet of Wageningen University & Research (WUR) will give a presentation on current developments in the Open Field Robotics sector and on the NXTGEN Hightech Growth Fund project.
This will be followed by a presentation of the “Robotics & AgTech Market Report France,” followed by a discussion on the ambitions of the Dutch AgTech sector in France, opportunities for financing, collaboration, and support from the Dutch Embassy in France, RVO, and Horizon Flevoland. The regional development agency Horizon Flevoland is assisting in the organization of this meeting.
The event will conclude with a casual networking reception.
