Expansion of DRT and DRD Lists

The DRT list has been expanded to include the downward spray technique for field sprayers with a lowered spray boom featuring LeapBox (PWM system) in DRT class 97.5%.
The DRD list has been expanded to include the HARDI spray nozzles NanoDrift ND-04, MiniDrift MD-025, 03, 04, and 05, HARDI-ISO LD-05-110, and the Lechler XDT 130-04. These are spray nozzles for downward spraying. An additional prerequisite has been added for the Lechler PRE 130-05, and the expiration date for the TeeJet AI80-015VS (downward spraying) has been extended.
Several textual changes have been made to the information sheet for the drag-line system for clarification purposes.

DRT list expansion

After reviewing a substantiated application submitted by BBLeap BV, the Technical Committee for Technology Assessment (TCT) has classified the downward spraying technique “Field Sprayer with Lowered Spray Boom and LeapBox (PWM system) into DRT class 97.5%. The associated conditions and settings are: Wilger COMBO-JET UR 80-06 spray nozzles, Wilger COMBO-JET UR 80-06 edge nozzle in the same position as the last (outermost) normal spray nozzle, tilted inward at an angle of 25 degrees, spray pressure up to 2.0 bar, nozzle spacing 25 cm, nozzle height up to 30 cm, and travel speed up to 8 km/h.
This spraying technique, classified as DRT class 97.5%, is included in Table 1 of the DRT list.

Expansion and Updates to the DRD List

After reviewing a substantiated application from Homburg Holland, the TCT has classified the following nozzles for downward spraying into DRD class 50% and included them in Table 1A of the DRD list:

  • HARDI NanoDrift ND-04, maximum spray pressure 4.0 bar, expiration date 12/31/2026;
  • HARDI MiniDrift MD-025, maximum spray pressure 2.0 bar, expiration date 12/31/2029;
  • HARDI MiniDrift MD-03, maximum spray pressure 2.0 bar, expiration date 12/31/2029;
  • HARDI MiniDrift MD-04, maximum spray pressure 3.0 bar, expiration date 12/31/2029;
  • HARDI MiniDrift MD-05, maximum spray pressure 4.0 bar, expiration date 12/31/2029, and
  • HARDI-ISO LD-05-110, maximum spray pressure 2.0 bar, expiration date 12/31/2029.

After reviewing a substantiated application from Lechler GmbH, the TCT classified the Lechler XDT 130-04 spray nozzle as DRD class 90% at a maximum spray pressure of 8.0 bar and as DRDclass 95% at a maximum spray pressure of 5.0 bar. This spray nozzle for downward spraying is included in Table 1A of the DRD list. The corresponding expiration date is December 31, 2030.

An additional requirement is that when spraying along all crop edges, the second-to-last spray nozzle on the spray boom must be closed, and the last (outermost) spray nozzle on the spray boom must be a side nozzle of at least DRD class 50%. This is included in the DRD list with a footnote.

In line with the Lechler XDT 130-04 spray nozzle, the TCT has included an additional requirement in the DRD list (Table 1A) that, when spraying along all crop edges, the penultimate spray nozzle on the spray boom must be closed off and the last (outermost) spray nozzle on the spray boom must be equipped with an edge nozzle of at least DRD class 50%.

After reviewing a request with supporting documentation from TeeJet Technologies, the TCT has extended the expiration date of the TeeJet AI80-015VS spray tip in Table 3A of the DRD list (nozzles for downward spraying with a field sprayer equipped with a lowered spray boom) by 5 years. The new expiration date is December 31, 2031.

Update to the information sheet on field sprayers with drag-cloth systems

For clarity, a number of textual changes have been made to the information sheet for the field sprayer with a drag-cloth system, which is listed in Table 1 on the DRT list and is classified in DRT classes 75% and 99%.

The new versions of the DRT and DRD lists, the information sheet for the field sprayer with a lowered spray boom and LeapBox (PWM system), and the updated information sheet for the field sprayer with a drag cloth system can be found on the Informatiepunt Leefomgeving website .
