DRT and DRD Lists Expanded to Include New Spraying Technology and Spray Nozzles
The Technical Committee for Technology Assessment (TCT) has made several changes to the DRT and DRD lists. For example, the Kilter AX-1 downward spraying technique with SDT-N2 application modules has been included in DRT class 99%. The DRD list has also been expanded to include the TeeJet TT 110-08VK spray nozzle, and several existing spray nozzles have been moved to the table listing their expiration dates.
Kilter AX-1 included in DRT Class 99%
After reviewing an application from Kilter AS, the TCT has classified the Kilter AX-1 downward spraying technique with SDT-N2 application modules into DRT class 99%.
The maximum application or working height is 50 centimeters above the crop or bare ground. The autonomous precision sprayer automatically controls the frequency (83 Hz), pressure (0.9 bar), and travel speed (up to 6.0 km/h).
The technology is included in Table 1 of the DRT list.
Expansion of the DRD list
The DRD list has also been expanded. The TeeJet TT 110-08VK spray nozzle for downward spraying has been classified in DRD class 50% at a maximum spray pressure of 3.0 bar.
The spray nozzle is included in Table 1A of the DRD list and is valid through December 31, 2030.
Modifications to existing spray nozzles
Furthermore, several nozzles for downward spraying have been moved from Table 1A to Table 1B of the DRD list. These are:
- Agroplast 8MS 110 04C
- Agroplast 8MS 110 05C
- Agrotop SoftDrop 110-05
- HARDI NanoDrift ND 03
These spray nozzles were valid through December 31, 2025. The TCT has established a five-year phase-out period for these nozzles; their use is permitted through December 31, 2030. In addition, a clarifying table has been added under Table 5 of the DRD list for the Agrotop TurboDrop TD-OC side nozzles.
