Call for Proposals: Agri&Food Innovation Initiative

Our food system is world-class. At the same time, the agri- and food sector is facing major changes. Knowledge and innovation are essential to remaining economically and socially sustainable in the long term. TKI Agri&Food encourages joint investment in this area by the business community, government, and research institutions, including through the provision of grants.

Through this call for proposals, TKI Agri&Food is making up to 2.5 million euros available for public-private partnership (PPP) projects aimed at technological and systemic breakthroughs, with a strong focus on impact. Research in this context must relate to the agri-food sector and align with the KIA Agriculture, Water, Food. The maximum duration of projects is two years.

Among other topics, the call specifically invites proposals on the subject of “water availability in the agri- and food sector.” To facilitate this, a matchmaking session was organized. Registration for this was open until February 6; the matchmaking session took place on February 9, 2026.

Proposals may be submitted through April 15. Pre-registration is required and can be completed through March 1 using the button below. If approved, projects must begin no later than October 1, 2026.
