Blijleven wins OOM Award for most active learning company of South Holland

Lifelong learning and development is worth its weight in gold - for employees, companies and the entire sector. Every year, OOM therefore puts the spotlight on the most active training companies in the Netherlands with the OOM Award, the prize for companies that are fully committed to training and development. This year, Blijleven from Pijnacker won the OOM Award for South Holland.

The OOM Award is organized by OOM, the training consultancy for the metalworking industry. The goal of OOM and its partners—including Koninklijke Metaalunie, FNV Metaal, CNV Vakmensen, and De Unie—is to raise the level of craftsmanship in the sector. In the competition to select the most active training company in South Holland, Blijleven won the coveted award. Other nominees were Kenbri from Numansdorp and Visscher Scheepsreparatie from Sliedrecht. To celebrate this achievement, John Holleman (Fedecom) and Hans van Wijk (Koninklijke Metaalunie) paid a festive visit to Blijleven with a delicious cake for the team.

Blijleven, headed by Patrick Blijleven - the third generation in the family business - and his father, is located in modern premises in Pijnacker. With their agricultural mechanization and construction company, they remain constantly responsive to new developments and customer needs. The company invests heavily in young talents and professionals through apprenticeships (BBL and BOL), which is essential for the future of the sector.

In addition to their work in agricultural mechanization and construction, Blijleven also performs various VA inspections, both internal and external. Thanks to their commitment to training and craftsmanship, Blijleven has more than earned this coveted OOM Award for South Holland.
